Aylin Hernandez, AMFT

Aylin Hernandez grew up in Ventura County and is a first-generation college graduate. She got her B.A. in Psychology from California Lutheran University and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Attachment from California Lutheran University. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her passion lies in working with her clients to discover their strengths and resilience, which allows them to move forward and live a more fulfilling life. Aylin believes that we all deserve to be heard, seen, and valued in our lives. She brings empathy, compassion, and active listening when working with her clients. She wants everyone she helps feel heard and validated in the space she creates.

Aylin’s journey in advocating for mental health began when she got support from her counselor and teacher in high school. Working with the alliance team has opened the door to work with educators and provide them with a non-judgement space to process emotions and feelings that come with day-to-day life. She is dedicated to working with clients and helping achieve wellness. Aylin’s goal is to help her clients achieve wellness by providing them with tools and techniques to cope with difficult situations.

In her free time, Aylin loves spending time with her partner, family, and friends. She enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, going to Disneyland and working out. Aylin is grateful for her friends she made in graduate school who have helped her shape into the therapist she is becoming today.
