Chester Villalba is a retired social worker. He was the former CEO of Family Service Mid Peninsula for over 20 years, as well as having a private practice in Los Altos. This was before he and his wife, Carla, moved to their favorite city- San Francisco. Chet participated for over 30 years as a peer reviewer for the Council of Accreditation for social service and mental health centers. He has a Masters Degree from Smith College School of Social Work and an Honorary Doctoral Degree from the Sanville Institute in Berkeley. He is also a member emeritus of the National Academy of Practice in Washington D.C.
Cleo Eulau was a personal friend and professional colleague through his years in Palo Alto. The mission of Acknowledge Alliance aligns closely with Chet’s thinking: his interest in children; his belief that teachers are a main force in children’s lives and they need support and validation for their good work.
He and Carla spend their extra time with their two adult children, Rachel in Walnut Creek and Gregory, who has a clinical practice in San Francisco and their three grandchildren.
