Marlyse Gakis

Marlyse Gakis is a Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) with over six years of clinical experience with culturally-diverse children and adolescents, and experience in the public schools as a therapist, educator, and artist. She received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University (Boston, MA) and has been trained in multiple trauma-informed approaches. Marlyse passionately believes that resilience is part of who we are as humans and that we need strengths-based support to learn the skills and attunement to fully embody it. As a Resilience Consultant and SEL Facilitator, Marlyse is excited to join the work of schools staff, who invite other trained professionals to join them in becoming more resilient and supporting students in social emotional learning.
